Truman Boot Bay Double Shot Moc Toe，正是目前為止在地球這星球上所能找到的最高規格方頭皮靴，Bay Double Shot Moc Toe 規格包括了2mm以上的北美頭層皮、正宗固特異製法、皮革內底、皮革中底、Vibram橡膠大底。

即便連John Lofgren的MOC Toe皮靴，也未能勝過Truman Boots的這款方頭皮靴規格（JOL的MOC Toe Boots雖然用上了Horween CXL皮革，但780USD的價位帶竟然不捨得放入皮革中底，直接Insole縫一層橡膠薄層就直接貼Vibram橡膠大底了）。

MOC Toe皮靴最常見的當然還是Red Wing 諸如875、8875、9874等MOC系列，但Red Wing這類的工靴算是入門價位帶，不曾配置過任何皮革中底，通常是沿條下方縫製橡膠中底後逕直黏貼白色橡膠大底。

Red Wing的MOC穿開後算是舒服，如果可以抓大半號一號配Dr. Sole軟木鞋墊更加舒服，但是用料和爽度上不可能勝過本次開箱的Truman Boots Bay Double Shot Moc Toe。

簡單講一下Truman Boots這家製靴公司，位於奧勒岡州(Oregon)尤金市(Eugene), 是正宗的美製美銷靴商，不過公司經營時間甚淺，2014年才成立，因此品牌價值自然不如Red Wing那種百年老靴廠。這也是為什麼它們的產品已經是雙W的高階用料卻可以一雙賣不到500 USD的因素之一。這種用料好CP高的品牌產品，才有入手價值！

Bay Double Shot Moc Toe入手緣由

會想要入手Truman Boots產品的原因是，真正達到 White’s Boots 和 WESCO Boots 的產品水準的平價美國製靴舖，少之又少，而Truman Boots是其中一家，Grant Stone是另一家（Grant Stone製靴廠在中國廈門，要論純真正宗美靴，恐難）。

且兼，Truman Boots 的價位多落在460 USD的價位帶，可以說是相對雙W便宜超多，但皮料和製法沒有比較差，而Truman Boots竟然有MOC Toe這樣的規格，不買一雙來品嚐說不過去！！

尤其，新冠肺炎這兩年影響甚鉅，導致2021年美國缺工又缺料，雙W的訂製期分別延後到4個月以及6個月，有些找雙W代工的美國小品牌還把交期寫到超過7個月。

這導致品牌價值相對低的Truman Boots，除了皮料和做工品質佳之外，還能在Built to Order的款式上夠提供給客戶較快速的交期(6-8周)，甚至還有Read Made的庫存皮靴可以快速在兩三天之內發貨。

這裡要做些訂購的解釋， Truman Boots 基本上分為三種販售類型的皮靴，Built to Order、Read Made、

Built to Order，其款式固定不可更改，付款下訂後才製作，交期6-8周。

Read Made，款式固定不可更改，為已製作完成的現貨庫存靴，付款下訂後可於兩三天內發貨。

Made to Order (MTO)，客製款式，付款下訂後才製作，交期12周。

這次我買的 Bay Double Shot Moc Toe，購買當下是處於Built to Order的狀態，但是買完幾天之後忽然發現Truman Boots官網上的 Bay Double Shot Moc Toe 款式已經改成Read Made的狀態，What the Hell ?

當下我二話不說馬上發E-Mail給Truman Boots要求比照Ready Made的發貨速度去處理我訂單，Truman Boots也很乾脆說過幾天就會寄出。

Truman Boots提供了USPS的美國郵政選項，因此寄到台灣基本上海關不太抽稅（但也要看運氣）。

盒子內的皮靴包裝就很簡陋，薄紙包覆而已，考慮到空運其實應該多放些紙張當作Cushion才對，但罷了反正運送過程也沒什麼意外發生。

Truman Boots Bay Double Shot MOC Toe新品並沒有預先裝著鞋帶，大概是想要給客戶看到皮革完美的狀態吧。

另外要提一下這款Bay Double Shot MOCT Toe的Upper皮料，用的是坐落於美國威斯康辛州的Milwaukee市的本土鞣皮廠Seidel Tanning Corp所製造的 6盎司 Bay Double Shot Leather。

該款皮料的顏色偏咖啡色，但強日光下看起來會略呈暗酒紅，個人非常喜歡這款皮革的厚實感和無暇感。

另外，Truman Boot 在一些靴款上也有採用同鞣皮廠製造的酒紅色(Oxblood)皮革就是。

需要一提的是，Truman Boot不只採用美國本土鞣皮廠的牛皮原料，也在少量款式上採用英國鞣皮廠的皮料。

本次入手的Bay Double Shot Moc Toe是8.5D的尺寸，無奈此款皮靴沒有E或EE寬度，而看了官網的尺寸建議和一些國外個人Review意見後，擔心穿開後過大的問題，只好賭看看8.5D。

好在試穿後發現除了腳背過低外，靴頭空間是足夠腳趾伸展和稍微挪動，不會過緊，寬度也剛好，不會左右側擠腳。

但腳背過低問題，不得不說是一個需要通過雙腳硬穿撐大皮靴來克服的初期難題。

前面提到過，皮革鞋帶除了帥之外，缺點不算少，所以直接上上蠟尼龍圓鞋帶（不確定是尼龍還是棉質，但偏尼龍質感）。

雖然說不含運才460USD，但此靴後背沒有給個皮革拉拔，甚是可惜。

大概因為是D寬度的版型，MOC Toe的U-Tip車縫線略呈修長，不同於我Red Wing 8138 9E的寬大U型感受。

值得一提的是，Truman Boots MOC Toe是正宗MOC的款式，靴頭以兩片分離皮革在邊界處抓隆後，在該處縫製U型的車縫結構。

但須一提的是，決定MOC Toe的靴頭內部寬鬆空間的主要因素並非U型結構是以單片皮還是兩片皮抓隆縫製，而是當初製靴的時候是使用什麼木楦(Last)。

Truman Boot Bay Double Shot MOC Toe採用的木楦款式是自家自創的 20 LAST ，從側面輪廓上可以輕易了解20 LAST是一款翹楦頭的類型，所以鞋頭空間寬廣，但是這沒有幫助到腳背過低的問題 Orz

關於皮靴腳背過低一事，我這次買Truman Boots和Grant Stone真是驚覺我完全忽視了歐美人腳型扁細長的問題！！！Red Wing MOC Toe穿8.5E時我完全感受不到任何腳背問題，以致於近期購買美製皮靴時完全專注在楦寬和腳長尺寸的細節而已。

腳背過低問題，可能可以透過暴力穿靴（根本是虐腳）來解決，但也可能無法，要看最後皮革是否能順利延展，但根據過去經驗，腳長尺寸當初抓對的話，努力穿一個禮拜通常可以解決腳背的問題。

此腳背過低問題我在購入Red Wing Iron Ranger 8111 8EE時也遇到過，但是穿過一陣子後皮革被撐鬆就沒這問題。

Bay Double Shot的皮革介於酒紅和咖啡之間，其實乍看下有那麼點Red Wing 8138的色澤味道。

如果要酒紅色的款式，可以參考Truman Boots的Oxblood Double Shot皮革，但是Truman Boots現階段並無酒紅色的MOC Toe現成販售款式，要透過MTO方式制訂便是。

透過我拍攝得非常清晰的照片可以了解，Truman Boots用的皮革厚度非常的厚實，基本上就是超過2mm，Truman Boots也清楚提到，此款Bay Double Shot皮料是6盎司(OZ)的重量/厚度，基本上就是Horween CXL那種出廠皮料厚度等級的，單片厚度不會輸給White’s Boots或WESCO Boots。

此外，皮革的味道非常像是Red Wing新品的皮靴味道，估計鞣製方式是鉻鞣，比較不會有植鞣皮易髒、掉色、透水等問題，再後續尚保養油的防水效果上應該也比較不用擔心。

Truman Boots的作工中規中矩，不論是皮革裁切還是縫線縫製，沒有什麼誤失的地方，也沒有兩腳明顯不對稱的地方。皮料來說也沒有什麼明顯的怪凹凸或是牛肚腩皺褶。

不過畢竟是手工靴，會不會有奇怪的次級品就這樣賣給客人，還是要看公司本身對產品的堅持。

畢竟只要是人做的工，基本上都會有誤失的時候。

如果真的說這款MOC Toe皮靴有什麼稍微讓我覺得異樣的地方，大概就是我發現這雙MOC Toe楦頭內的塑膠港寶在跟沿條銜接的位置有一種微微的波浪凹凸狀，不是很明顯，但是摸得出來，兩腳都一樣，也從上圖可以看出來。就我所知，Red Wing的MOC Toe港寶不會有這種問題。

Bay Double Shot MOC Toe的外側邊上也有兩三個方形縫線區，我記得在Red Wing Irish Setter系列諸如 9874 MOC Toe的一些Reviewer介紹上，會強調這種方形車縫是復古的車縫線。

老實說，我覺得強調方型車縫線這件事，有點無聊。

決定皮靴好不好看的主因素，還是在Last結構、皮料、皮革剪裁。車縫線也許可以加減分但是沒有太大權重，而且車縫走線太細小複雜的地方，也很可能是製靴者翻車的地方。

皮革沿條和縫線還算ok，但也沒有什麼驚豔之處，可以體會出老美的那種粗中不細的製法。

為什麼我要在開頭標題名稱就強調Truman MOC Toe是第表最高階方頭皮靴呢？原因在於大多品牌的MOC Toe款式都被歸類為初階入門工作靴，Red Wing的MOC Toe就在279.99 USD，即便連White’s Boots的Perry MOC Toe也是 269 USD的初階價位。

無獨有偶的是，Red Wing、White’s Boots這些MOC Toe因為入門工作靴的定位，不會有皮革中底(Leather Midsole)的設定。

而Truman Boot的MOC Toe設定打破了入門皮靴的設定，直接用2.0mm厚度的上好皮料和皮革中底，當然價位也不給你客氣定在460 USD，故買不買單，見仁見智。

但以我心得而言，即便已經有了Red Wing MOC Toe，買這雙Truman Boot MOC Toe也絕不會後悔，畢竟在整體做工和用料上已經跟Red Wing MOC Toe拉開一段距離。

鞋帶金具是黃銅製，五孔二鉤，有快速鉤較好穿脫，但是黃銅這種舊化看久了我也覺得有點膩。

黃銅的五金其實不比不鏽鋼的堅固，黃銅金具一開始看很新鮮，但是我有靴皮靴陸續生綠銅鏽，且兼幾年下來我也看膩了黃銅五金，如果能回歸不生鏽又比較堅固的不鏽鋼金具，那該多好XD

老實說，雖然這次入手的MOC Toe D楦頭讓我覺得穿起來偏緊，但是D楦頭的U-Tip結構我覺得看起來就是比Red Wing MOC Toe E楦來看優雅好看！

從接近俯視的角度來看這雙皮靴，就可以很清楚看到皮靴的U-Tip在D楦寬度下略顯瘦長而無有Red Wing E楦頭寬肥的視覺效果，這種略為瘦長的U-Tip結構甚是好看，不過亞洲人如我就必須要選大半號才會更快進入舒適期了。

差點忘了強調，這雙皮靴用的是Vibram #4014 之類的Cristy Wedge Sole，柔軟舒適又比EVA耐磨，沒啥好挑剔的，花的錢值得！

小結

Truman Boot Bay Double Shot Moc Toe，媲美White’s Boots、WESCO Boots的皮靴用料和做工但是價格只有5-6成的正宗美製皮靴，傳統Goodyear Welt製法、6盎司(OZ)美國鞣皮廠Double Shot皮料、皮革內底、皮革中底、Vibram #4014大底，腳感舒適，抓對尺寸的話幾乎無須Break-In期即可舒適穿著行走。

需注意的是Truman Boot的Last腳背偏低，因此在True Size的基礎上，要抓大半號會比較不用承受Break-In期靠腳背撐鬆皮革的高壓。

作為2014成立的新興製靴公司，Truman Boot的產品種類尚不算多，但是Round Toe、MOC Toe的幾種款式看起來耐看又舒適，價格相較雙W相對低廉許多，且兼Truman Boot的皮靴交期不算久，庫存靴及時發貨，固定款式靴現訂現做6-8周，全客製靴12周，遠速於雙W皮靴廠。

因此Truman Boot仍有極大的優勢，不失為為雙W以外的美靴賞玩選項。
